MAGESWARI KUALA LUMPUR :  Businessman Syed Gamal Syed Kechik Al-Bukhary has filed a caveat to stop his stepmother and half-sisters from being appointed sole administrators to his late father’s RM400mil estate. Puan Sri Sofiah Moo @ Moo Nyok Yin, 67, and his half sisters – Sharifah Munira, 44, and Puan Sri Sharifah Zarah, 42, – petitioned the court for a letter of administration last year. Syed Gamal, 45, who is Tan Sri Syed Kechik Mohamed Al-Bukhary’s only son from his first marriage, filed the caveat on April 15 in a bid to be co-administrator of the estate. The High Court had fixed yesterday to hear an earlier application by Syed Gamal to be an intervenor in the petition but he withdrew it when the case was called up. Dipetik dari Berita Harian 2 Jun 2009 Abang maut ditetak adik gaduh rebut harta pusaka PONTIAN :  Akibat berebut harta pusaka, seorang lelaki maut ditetak saudara kandungnya dengan parang dalam kejadian di Kampung Jasa Sepakat, Pekan Nanas, di sini, semalam. Mangsa yang juga peniaga buah-buahan, Tahir Zainal, 41, mati dalam perjalanan ke Hospital Pontian (HP), di sini, selepas mengalami kecederaan parah di bahagian kiri badan dalam kejadian kira-kira jam 1.30 tengah hari itu. Timbalan Ketua Polis Daerah, Superintendan Muzammil Hashim, berkata anggota Balai Polis Pekan Nenas yang menerima panggilan mengenai kejadian itu kira-kira jam 2.50 petang, menemui mangsa dalam keadaan berlumuran darah di luar rumah berkenaan. Beliau berkata, berikutan itu, pihaknya membawa mangsa ke HP untuk rawatan kecemasan sebelum menahan suspek, adik mangsa yang berusia 36 tahun.
